Oplo
It’s no longer possible to get a personal loan through Oplo, but Little Loans could help you search for a loan between £100 and £10,000, with repayment terms from 3 to 60 months, depending how much you apply to borrow.

Who was Oplo?
Oplo – formerly known as The 1st Stop Group – was a UK-based-direct lender of personal loans. Borrowers could select loans from £2,000 to £15,000, with repayment terms between 24 and 72 months.
What happened to Oplo?
In January 2022, Oplo merged with Tandem Bank. As a result of this, some of their product features changed, and Oplo no longer offer personal loans.
Can I still get a loan with Oplo?
No, Oplo’s website states that their personal loan product is now closed.
If you’re looking to borrow up to £10,000, Little Loans could help you instead.
Can anyone search for a loan with Little Loans?
You can use Little Loans to search for a loan if you:
- Are over the age of 18;
- Are a UK resident;
- Have a UK bank account and debit card; and
- Have a regular source of income paid into your bank account.
I have bad credit – what are my chances of being approved for a loan?
Bad credit could make it tricky to get approved for a loan, although there are several lenders – including a number of those on the Little Loans panel – who are willing to consider applications from those with poor credit history.
Before you apply, you should be aware that bad credit loans could come with high rates of interest, and you might not be able to borrow as much money as you need.
Unsure whether you’ll be approved? Check your eligibility to find out how likely you are to be approved.
How can I use Little Loans to search for a loan?
- Select the amount of money you’d like to borrow, and choose how long you’d like to repay it over. You should never borrow more money than you can afford to repay.
- Our online form should take less than five minutes to complete, and the information provided will enable us to run a 60-second soft search on your financial history. We’ll then scan our panel of lenders for a suitable match.
- If we succeed in finding you a loan, you’ll be redirected to the lender’s website. If you’re happy with the details of the loan, you can make a full application.
- At this stage, the lender is required to carry out a hard search. Hard searches will remain on your credit file for up to 12 months, and too many hard searches in a short period of time could negatively impact your credit score.
- If the lender is happy with the outcome of their checks, you will be sent a loan agreement. Be sure to carefully go through the terms and conditions, before deciding whether to sign and return.
When will I receive my money?
If you’re approved for a loan, your money could be sent today, although the time it takes for the loan to appear in your account will depend on your bank’s policies and procedures.
Every lender has a different payout timeframe. If you need the money urgently (for example, you’re due to pay for a car repair), you may wish to speak with your lender before applying to gain a clear idea of when the funds could be sent.
What should I do if I can no longer afford my loan?
If you find yourself in this situation, it’s important not to panic. While asking for help may feel like the last thing you feel like doing, you should try to contact your lender as soon as you can.
It’s important to remember that your lender is not there to judge you or your personal circumstances. Instead, they will appreciate the fact that you’ve reached out and been honest about your situation, and they’ll want to work with you to put an appropriate plan in place moving forwards.
